Bricking Free

This is an official statement from the Cabinet of the People’s Imperial Confederation Congress of Soviets.

Since our victory in Beach Brawl III, the Congress of Soviets of the People’s Imperial Confederation has been discussing an important issue. Our brother ally, the Special Weapons and Tactics, has been a friend to the Confederation since Legoman’s induction into our leadership in late 2021. Recent events have left us questioning SWAT’s intentions, contemplating whether or not they truly respect us as allies.

While our leadership has had a close friendship with Legoman for quite a long time, we have begun to feel that this is one-sided. On our end, the alliance with SWAT was built on friendship and respect for Legoman. We are now wondering if this was the same for SWAT. Did they actually care about us? Were we just another small, irrelevant army that they would eventually absorb through a merger? Lego certainly made an effort to joke about the latter on numerous occasions, asking Sidie to merge PIC into SWAT or questioning why she wouldn’t permit a merge. During his tenure as SWAT leader, Sweater definitely did not receive the impression that Lego respected PIC. Contemporary events have reframed Legoman’s comments as attempts to undermine our army, rather than simple jokes. Additionally, a recent post published by the Water Vikings has gathered our attention.

Beach Brawl III was a game-changer for our alliance and friendship with Legoman. It was clear from the beginning that Lego didn’t see PIC as true competition. He underestimated our leaders’ experience, motivation, and drive to finally win a tournament. This was demonstrated through his lack of preparation for the tournament, reusing tactics from wars years ago, and not writing any new or relevant ones. This alone was insulting, proving to us that despite both of our armies holding a small/medium army status, he never once saw us as equals.

Despite the friendly nature of our interactions during his Templars war, as Beach Brawl III approached he grew quiet and more reserved. While we will delve further into the details of our interactions later in this post, it appeared to us as though Lego had lost any interest in maintaining a relationship with us. In addition to this, his actions following the tournament further illustrated a clear disregard for our friendship and our army.

Consequently, the People’s Imperial Confederation hereby severs our brother alliance with the Special Weapons and Tactics army

Faulty Promises

Following the events leading to FerdtheBird1’s removal, PIC was at a fragile point and wished to abstain from the CPA map. Ideally, we would have transferred our land to the Army of Club Penguin, who have graciously protected it in the past. However, their war against the Elite Guardians left us with no option but to transfer to SWAT. Lego, being a member of our Congress who voted to remove Ferd, was well aware of PIC’s current state. He agreed to take our land for protection.

Lego promising to protect PIC land

Just a few days after this, Legoman surprised us by declaring war on the Templars. While we understand that what Lego chooses to do with his army and the land we transferred to him is his choice, we were upset by this erratic decision. Declaring war on a major army unprovoked while promising to keep your brother ally’s land safe is a complete contradiction.  To make matters worse, Lego stopped having SWAT show up to defenses, allowing Templars to freely take the land he promised to defend. Lego lied and broke an agreement he made with us. Due to this, Lego broke his own war terms, and all of PIC’s territory (including our capital) was transferred to Templars. PIC now has to suffer due to Lego’s choices.

The circumstances would be different if his war plans had been communicated to us. If we knew he had plans to declare war we would have never transferred our servers. To onlookers, it may have appeared as though PIC transferred land to SWAT in order to give them more servers before their war, but this wasn’t the case at all. Although highly frustrated, we chose to remain quiet at this point to prevent Lego from going into Beach Brawl with any hard feelings towards PIC.

Bribing PIC Veterans

In the week leading up to Beach Brawl III, one of PIC’s former leaders made me aware of Lego attempting to bribe him with Nitro to attend on behalf of SWAT. It should be noted that besides a brief stint in ACP, this veteran’s main affiliation has always been PIC. Additionally, Lego attempted to bribe another former PIC leader to attend for SWAT. After being confronted by Shallissa, Lego showed no remorse or concern for his actions. His reply was simply ‘ok.’ We began to consider that Lego had no respect for PIC as an army and that he was just using us. While our perspective on him was beginning to change, we decided to focus on Beach Brawl and refrain from taking further action until after the tournament.

Troopstealing our HICOM

A few days before the tournament, a member of our high command messaged PIC leadership to announce his decision to join SWAT after the battle. While we were saddened that he wanted to leave, we ultimately supported it. SWAT was informed of this plan. However, shortly before the tournament’s log-on time, a member of SWAT’s high command was seen attempting to pressure this individual to log on for SWAT instead of PIC

(Since taking this screenshot Mickey Mouse’s rank has been removed)

Despite this occurring publicly in SWAT’s main chat, Lego did not step in. Considering this was happening as we were prepping to log on, we did not confront Lego. However, discussion began to formulate regarding a potential end to our alliance

Beach Brawl III

The tournament was the final straw. Due to the multiple instances of mistreatment discussed so far in this post, PIC leadership felt profoundly wronged by Legoman. Before the tournament, we had confidence in our ability to win, given Lego’s performance during the Templars’ war. We entered the battle with fresh tactics and a determined spirit. However, as mentioned earlier, we were deeply offended by Lego’s lack of creativity during the battle. It appeared as though he believed he could defeat us with years-old tactics, which revealed how little he thought of us as an army.

When the Confederation was announced as the victors, numerous PIC leaders thanked Lego and SWAT for the close battle in the CP Armies and SWAT Discord servers. We heard absolutely nothing back from Lego. At the time this post has been published, we still haven’t heard anything from Legoman. We don’t understand why someone who was supposed to be our friend couldn’t give us even a simple “GG” or “Congrats”. If the roles were reversed and SWAT won, we would have congratulated them. Ask the former Fire Warriors leadership how excited PIC was for them when they beat us in the Challengers Cup II grand final. We value friendships more than we value wins or losses.

Hearing from the Water Vikings that Legoman set us up and attempted to have us disqualified sealed the fate of our alliance. We don’t understand how someone who was supposed to be our friend could stoop that low to hurt us. As a side note, we are beyond grateful to Dino for bringing this to our attention and publishing a post about it.

Moving Foward

Legoman made a post at the end of last year promising full transparency regarding controversies he had been part of. Going into Generation Four of PIC, our leadership made the same promise. Though we can’t speak for public perception, we have taken every opportunity to remain clear and open regarding issues or matters of concern within our army. We do not feel as if Legoman has done the same. Though from a public perspective, Lego has steered clear of major controversy since his post, we feel as if he’s just made better efforts to cover his tracks. While PIC is far from perfect, our efforts to maintain full transparency are genuine, and we have honored every promise we’ve made. While PIC will support genuine efforts to improve and grow, we will always look for results and actions rather than words.

  • Conflicts between veterans and current leaders of an army shouldn’t impact past contributions to PIC. As such, Legoman will not be stripped of his PIC honors. However, Lego has been voted out of all positions within our Congress of Soviets, with the role of Premier now being occupied by Cabin.

  • The Special Weapons and Tactics are declared “enemies” by the People’s Imperial Confederation as listed on our Nations page.

  • PIC hopes to establish a friendly relationship with Templars moving forward. With TCP now in possession of our Capital, we hope to utilize the situation to develop trust and closer relations. In addition, we are grateful to the Water Vikings for having our backs during this time. We’re beyond excited to continue our journey of friendship.

Despite recent posts surrounding our internal and external conflicts, PIC has generally refrained from drama. When faced with controversy, we have been trying our best to be as transparent as possible. We all really cared for Lego, making this situation even more difficult. For context, Sidie led two back-to-back battles for SWAT a few weeks ago because Lego’s internet had issues. She wouldn’t have done that if she didn’t care. We’ve tried to offer him support and understanding for both online and offline issues, so we are really hurt and confused as to where his behavior towards us came from.

His actions causing harm to others, a minor, and now us, cannot be ignored any longer. Ending our alliance is unfortunate but this can’t continue. Whether Lego chooses to admit it or not, losing this alliance is a huge loss for him and SWAT. We don’t want him to experience mental or emotional harm, and our intention isn’t to hurt him. More than anything we hope he can learn from this to grow as a person. While we wish SWAT and Legoman all the best, we have no desire to further involve ourselves with either.

Until Next Time!
