Confederation Chronicles: Diplomacy of Yesterday [Part One]

Welcome to Confederation Chronicles, a column that dives into our army’s history, both known and unknown. The People’s Imperial Confederation is nearing its fourth anniversary. Throughout the years, the Confederation has developed a strong reputation for its diplomatic dexterity. Over a four-part series, we will cover our diverse diplomatic history over the past four generations of PIC.

The Confederation learned to navigate the political landscape of the community quite early on. The dawn of the People’s Imperial Confederation marked a new beginning for the small-medium army community, along with a rich history for the newly created army. An experienced S/M Army Legend, Sidie9 knew that smaller armies had to make up for their size through powerful diplomacy. Although PIC averaged sizes of 2-10 during its first generation; Sidie9, Proditor, and later NotManuGinobili, quickly got to work in establishing a strong voice for PIC.

PIC’s first opening event

Initiating an alliance with the Army of Club Penguin, PIC was interested in strong relations with the Clovers due to Sidie’s long history in the army. Though Sidie served as a Field Marshal [2ic] in ACP, she wanted PIC to have complete independence. Mchappy, who served on ACP’s Panel of Guardians, was interested in PIC becoming an ACP colony. PIC’s rejection of the colonization created tension between the two armies.

Sidie9 moved to develop a close friendship with Prior Bumble, the leader of the Recon Federation, resulting in a bond between PIC and RFCP. As a gesture of good faith, PIC transferred the servers Husky and Frostbite to the Recon Federation, who in return solidified an alliance between PIC and RFCP. The new alliance did not sit well with ACP, who had just ended a tenuous conflict with RFCP. Consequentially, the Clovers ended the alliance with PIC and banned Sidie9 from the Discord server.

PIC’s Invasion of Frostbite

Feeling completely betrayed, Sidie9 established the Crimson Night Alliance, in hopes of defeating ACP in war. Recruiting the Recon Federation, Shock Troops, Pizza Federation, Elite Guardians, and Arctic Ops to the cause, each army was confident in its capacity for victory. However, the alliance was eventually blindsided by the Arctic Ops. Resetbtn and Ogibaan, both leaders of AO, turned out to be RPF leaders on alternate accounts. The entirety of the war plans were subsequently leaked to ACP, with PIC taking the brunt of the blame.

In what would become known as the War of Green Peril, ACP acting leader Koloway declared war on PIC in retaliation for the alliance. The use of allies was forbidden, pinning the Confederation in its first war with no assistance. Nonetheless, PIC showed up to every battle, even scheduling its own invasions against the Clovers. Sidie had retired from PIC at this time, having officially joined RFCP. A treaty was eventually signed by Manu and Koloway, officially ending the war. With PIC fresh out of war and Sidie no longer involved, the army shut down, concluding its first generation.

PIC’s Defense of Alpine

Although short-lived, the Confederation made a strong impact during its first generation. Despite the many mistakes made during those few months, the foundations had been established for future success within PIC. The Confederation was not yet over, and a long engrossing story was waiting to be told.
