CPA “Exact Same Situation” Org

This wasn’t how we wanted to do things, but we have been left with no choice. We brought this issue to CPA Org’s attention, their response was disproportionate from the get-go, and things did not improve from there. We will not allow CPA Org’s tolerance of this to go unnoticed.

Let’s start at the beginning with EGCP and our war against them.

What This Is All About

Throughout the past few weeks, we’ve been frustrated to see EGCP resort to tactics that are in poor taste. From EGCP’s Guta making ambiguous comments seeming to suggest that our alliance is a bunch of Nazis in EGCP’s announcements channel about us being the “axis of evil” (Guta later clarified that this was allegedly instead meant to be in reference to a George W. Bush quote discussing people who sponsor terrorism, which isn’t much better) to chants of “PICCORPSE” in battle. We were informed that EGCP was warned regarding both actions, but that the administration felt this did not breach war terms.

Over the past week or so of battles, EGCP has rolled out a brand-new recurring “joke” in their tactics on the subject of lynching.

Pictured in this screenshot alone are instances of such tactics being used across five separate battles. We don’t believe these to be the only instances, though we do not currently have screenshots to prove that it happened on other occasions.

So What’s The Big Deal?

For those of you who don’t understand, lynching in the strictest terms possible refers to an extrajudicial (outside the law) killing by a group. Historically, it’s best known for its use on African Americans by white supremacists in America as a form of oppressive control, most predominantly between the 1830s and the 1950s/1960s. A vast majority of the individuals responsible for these acts never faced justice for their crimes. Some estimates suggest as many as 3500 African Americans were executed in this fashion during this period.

Does this sound like the kind of thing we should be joking about?

We later realised that EGCP were instead allegedly making a reference to much more modern internet slang: “virtual lynching,” which is used more about someone being cancelled. The term isn’t that prevalent, likely because of the strongly negative connotations attached as outlined above, and we still firmly stand by that any such usage of such terminology just to score tactics points is incredibly insensitive and demonstrates a blatant disregard for the many innocent people who were tortured and killed just because of their skin colour.

And yet, that hasn’t stopped EGCP. We’d also note that the final message from the above screenshot skips the “virtual” and gets straight to talking about “lynching,” and we suspect there would be more instances like this if we had access to the other 8 messages which have “lynch” in them.

CPA Org’s Response

Here, Mchappy directly equates this situation to an incident that occurred between EGCP and ACP last year:

Said incident resulted in EGCP automatically forfeiting the war. This will be important later.

And yet…

In response to this, we laid out a clear argument detailing why we believe EGCP should be disqualified for their actions.

It has been 24 hours since these messages were sent. We have been ignored entirely by the administration.

There are several levels on which we take issue with CPA Org’s response.

Firstly, CPA Org’s decision to “issue an ultimatum” after they decided to disqualify EGCP during the EGCP-ACP solo war demonstrates an alarming failure to maintain a consistent standard of moderation. This is especially poignant given Mchappy’s words on the matter above and given both situations involved the same offending army. This goes without mentioning past situations over time such as how the situation with Dark Vikings was handled. We are deeply disappointed in CPA Org’s inability to set a line and stick to it.

Secondly, there is that this was the third separate incidence of EGCP engaging in tactics (on or off the battlefield) that are inappropriate. We can concede that a tactic like “PICCORPSE”, whilst arguably in poor taste, is hardly grounds alone for an auto-forfeit and that Guta’s actions do not represent an entire army. Although, the fact that us being compared to Nazis wasn’t the “you are on your last chance” point for CPA Org is yet another issue we take umbrage with. Digression aside, this newest offence of EGCP’s is the third issue that CPA Org itself has acknowledged as warranting some kind of warning/action. At what point is CPA Org going to stop issuing warnings and take some sort of meaningful action?

Finally, even ignoring the above, it is sickening that CPA Org would even find it appropriate to issue any form of warning or ultimatum on a subject like this. We would have hoped that consistent jokes about such a subject matter warranted an immediate auto-forfeit. We have since learned we were wrong to expect so little of CPA Org’s administration. It seems we do not operate on a zero-tolerance policy in this community anymore. We don’t even work on a “three strikes, you’re out” system either. Apparently, anything is acceptable so long as you “stop” doing it and pretend to be sorry when someone complains.

As we’re sure you can sense, we have lost all faith in CPA Org’s capability to fairly moderate issues like this in a consistent fashion. There is simply no explanation for the administration’s actions beyond sheer incompetence and we have run out of patience for it. To say we have nothing left but contempt, frustration and deep disappointment in the administration’s failures is a gross understatement.

Enough is enough.
