Greetings PICguins!
The much-awaited Pirate Party for 2024 is finally available on Club Penguin Journey! With the two parts of the party released, the CP Journey developers have provided us with some free items as well as a new scavenger hunt. More content is yet to wash to shore in the coming days.
Read on to learn the locations of the scavenger hunt map pieces, the new free items, and how to progress through the various islands!

Map Scavenger Hunt
(Jemma’s Note: You can collect the map pieces in any order!)
Piece 1: Snow Forts
Piece 2: Docks
Piece 3: Mine Shack
Piece 4: Underground Pool
(Jemma’s Note: You will need to click on the rock to lift it!)
Piece 5: Dance Club
Piece 6: Lighthouse
Congratulations! You’ve now found all of the map pieces for the treasure hunt. Be sure to claim your prize, Rockhopper’s Treasure Map!
Once you have Rockhopper’s Treasure Map, you are now ready to find another secret item! Clicking on the map in your inventory will show you the path to treasure, which seems to be located at the Cove!
Treasure Map Secret: Cove
(Jemma’s Note: Click on the shovel! That will unearth a treasure box with the Pirate Straw Hat, based on Monkey D. Luffy from the One Piece anime series)
Congratulations! You have finished the map scavenger hunt. If you head to Rockhopper’s ship at the Beach, he will tell you to return to him on the 18th of March for further adventures!
Rockhopper’s Ship
Club Penguin Journey has been updated with Rockhopper’s first island adventure! Head to Rockhopper’s ship at the Beach to start your travels. Your first stop will be the Black Island Trading Post!
You’re now on Rockhopper’s ship! Before you can head to the Black Island Trading Post, you need to step on the pressure plates shown below. Hit the targets that appear, as that will power the ship as it sails through the seas.
The ship will start moving, before eventually stopping at its destination. The exit will re-appear once the ship moors.
Black Island Trading Post
Rockhopper will tell you to search for building supplies! Continue the conversation to head to the island.
The island has its own catalog, shown at the bottom right of the screen.
Once you’re ready to collect to the building supplies, speak to the shady Captain Crimson standing at the shopping stall
If you have finished the conversation, click on the supplies suspended in the air. They will be added to Rockhopper’s ship accordingly.
After you’ve collected the building supplies, Captain Crimson will give you a lead in your adventure! He will tell you to head to Dinosaur Island, which will become available on the 20th of March. See you then for our updated Pirate Party guide!
Dinosaur Island
Once you’re ready, return to the ship and Rockhopper will tell you to head to Dinosaur Island! Just as you did before, sail using snowballs to hit the targets.
Welcome to Dinosaur Island! You can access a brand new catalog at the bottom right of the screen.
Walk to the top right to open the wooden gates, which will give you access to the red gem. Click on it to add the gem to your cargo.
After suggesting to return to Captain Crimson for an analysis of the gem, return to the ship and sail back to the Black Island Trading Post. You’ll see Captain Crimson in his regular location.
Speaking to Captain Crimson will reveal his plan to steal the gem! However, he will agree to assist you once you offer to take him back to Club Penguin island.
Afterwards, Captain Crimson will give you access to another new catalog, as well as 100 gems to spend in his shop. Our island adventure is set to continue on the 22nd of March!
Shipwreck Island
Head to the ship to begin sailing to Shipwreck Island! When you’ve reached the island, Rockhopper will tell you to set up the beacon supplies.
We’re now at the final stage of our adventure!
Click on the beacon supplies a few times to set them up.
You’ll now have the Shipwreck Beacon pin, which you can equip from your penguin’s player-card!
Afterwards, Rockhopper will comment on a light coming from the cave to your left. Go ahead and walk inside.
Firstly, make sure you open the chest in the back of the room. There are two free items inside, the Viking Lord Helmet and Viking Lord Armor.
To finish your quest, click on the Red Gem Sword at the bottom left of the screen. After it does its animation, click it once more to pick it up!
Having helped Rockhopper extensively in his adventure, Rockhopper will tell you to keep the Red Gem Sword as a reward!
Having collected the final treasure, you have now completed CP Journey’s Pirate Party for 2024!
Free Items
There are currently two free items on the island! The Crew Cap can be located at the Beach
The next one isn’t as obvious. At the Ski Hill, you can find the Sailor Hat in the open treasure chest!
