Wow. I joined Club Penguin over 5,000 days ago and spent almost 4,000 of those in this subsection of a dead game. Funnily enough, I think my first Club Penguin account, Schol Dude, is older than some of the people competing in armies nowadays. That’s a scary thing for me to think about. But I don’t regret a second of my time here. I made so many friends, created so many memories and, laugh all you want, found love here. What a journey, but I’ve finally reached my destination.
Most people who have been in armies as long as I have have enlisted in multiple armies throughout their time. I’m no different. From SWAT to Dark Warriors, to Fire Warriors and finally, the People’s Imperial Confederation, I’ve done so much and learned so much. I’ve learned about who I am as a person, how to grow and mature, and the kind of people I call my friends.
I joined my first army, Ice Warriors, in 2013. I was very quickly troop stolen to SWAT, and while I’ve always held respect for IW, I’m glad I was stolen. I wouldn’t change a thing about my story. I owe a lot of my success and growth to SWAT. From my time as a member rank, to the many months I spent leading that army, it was all worth it. I love those guys, even if we don’t see eye-to-eye now.
But to me, SWAT isn’t where I best performed. Despite maxing 100 and 60-70 consistently, it wasn’t as fun as being in Fire Warriors or the People’s Imperial Confederation. I fucking love this army. Funnily enough, I didn’t even want to lead for this long. When I was advising, sometime after the removal of Ferd I wanted to step up and try to help us grow a bit in his absence. I only wanted to lead temporarily. But instead, I had so much fun that I stayed and accidentally won two tournaments and competed in several wars. Admittedly, even now, 24 hours to my retirement, I don’t want to go. Unfortunately, as an adult I just don’t have the time anymore. That makes me sad.
