Club Penguin Journey Coin Guide (Part 2)

Hello Comrades!

In club penguin coins are very useful as they can be used in various ways, some of them being customizing your penguin or your igloo, or adopting a new puffle. This means they are necessary in order to acquire the PIC uniform and attend events in style like a true PICguin. This guide is a follow up of a previous guide aimed to show some ways through which you can get the most coins. Also considering the music jam party just dropped on CPJ, you will probably need a way to get more coins easily in order to be able to buy the newly released items!

Keep reading to find out 1 of the best ways with which you can become rich in club penguin!

Puffle Roundup

One of the best ways to get some coins very quickly is by playing the Puffle Roundup game. It is a very underrated and often forgotten game considering it can give you enough coins to buy a whole outfit within a few mins. After some practice you will be able to get up to 100 coins per 20 seconds! Which is equal to 300 coins/min and 3000 coins in 10 minutes. It may not be as effective as the cart surfing technique, mentioned in the first part of the coin guide, for large amounts of coins but its faster if you lack a few coins. For example if you need 80 more coins to buy something you can play a round of Puffle Roundup and after 20-30 seconds you will have enough coins. This makes it very useful for our CPJ events where the outfits we use usually cost around 250-350 coins.

Where can I find the game?

In order to find this minigame you have to firstly open the maps. The map icon is located at the bottom left of the screen and looks like this:

After you open your maps you click on The Plaza which is located near the middle right of the map as seen below:

As soon as you complete this step all you have to do is enter the Pet shop (the building on the left). While you are in there you will see an exit door on the right side with the word “Employees” written in it as shown below.

All you have to do is walk towards it. Then there will be a pop up asking you if you want to play Puffle Roundup. Press yes and the game will begin!

How to play

The goal of the game is to get all the puffles inside the fences. You move the puffles by getting your mouse cursor closer to them, be careful though cause some don’t like being close to the cursor! As soon as the game loads and you press play there will be a game tip explain basically what is said here and all you have to do is press play (again) to start the game. There will be a timer giving you 120 seconds to manage to place all the puffles inside the fence. The timer will appear on the top right while the number of puffles caught appears on the top left. If you move a puffle too far near the forest/top of the hill, then that puffle may escape and you will get less points and less coins. Also, puffles from inside the fence still move if you put your mouse close to them so be careful not to get them out again. The faster you get the puffles in and the more puffles you gather, the more coins you will get in the end. As soon as the round is over it will pop up a message giving you 2 options. You can either finish and collect your coins or play more to get more coins.

After playing for a bit you will become better in the game and manage to get higher scores, earning more coins than before. The coins you get per round are basically calculated by the following equation: <seconds left in the timer>*<puffles caught>/10.

Last, but not least, different puffle colors have different speed and sensitivity when you bring closer your mouse to them. With the white being the least sensitive and slower followed by blue while green and brown are the most sensitive.

Congrats! You now know how to play Puffle Roundup and make some money quickly!
