[US] Operation: Word Tactic Training

Today, August 20, 2023, the People’s Imperial Confederation held an extraordinary word tactic training on Warzone, CPA Battleground. Unlike the previous US event, we maxed greater than ten and saw better activity among event attendees. Furthermore, we practiced advanced formations and word tactics to prepare for the upcoming Beach Brawl III tournament battle on Saturday. As I said in my last event post, let’s keep this momentum up!

Until next time,

[EU] Gays 4 Donald: Indictment Parade

We logged onto Club Penguin Army Battleground today to express our God-given First Amendment rights. Meeting at the town, we held a parade in honour of the numerous recent Donald Trump indictments. With a maximum size of 11 troops online, we practiced our speed in preparation for the upcoming small/medium tournament. Thank you to all of those who came, I appreciate you all!

[US] Minion Mayhem: 2023 Edition

Today, August 16, 2023, the People’s Imperial Confederation held its second Minion-themed event in its history, nearly two years after its first. Although I love the People’s Imperial Confederation in its present form, I hold the greatest respect for the army’s third generation. Furthermore, the Minion-themed event from that era continues to be one of my most favorite events I have ever participated in and led within Club Penguin armies. Therefore, it was only a matter of time before I scheduled a new edition.

Although the maximum number of penguins of today’s event struck me as disappointing, I am not devastated or surprised. This is because we have poured most of our attention to the other divisions over the past few months. As the newest addition to the army’s leadership, I aspire to take the US division to greater heights.

Event size besides, we did amazing. I am very proud to say that the overwhelming majority of troops were attentive throughout the duration of the event. I hope we can carry this energy over to future events.

Until next time,

[AUSIA + EU] Bring It Home/Imperium

The Confederation held two events earlier this week. Our first was “Operation: Bring It Home”, an effort to train and prepare our army for the coming small/medium army tournament. Though confronted by a strange grey army, our AUSIA division did exceptionally in our tactics and formations. 13 penguins came to get ready for our best chance at a trophy this year. Subsequently, we held our “Operation: Imperium” event. This time, our EU division was set on demonstrating its profound strength. We maxed a total of 12 troops, culminating in an interesting “Among Us” formation. Thank you to all those who came to either of the events!

Until next time!

Breaking Bird

On the 8th of August, 2023, Templars leader Dawnables contacted PIC leadership with an extremely sensitive subject regarding FerdtheBird1. The conversation revealed that he had been in a mature relationship with a TCP staff member. Screenshots suggested that Ferd had acted in an inappropriately sexual manner. Furthermore, though they were minors, the age dynamic (1.5 years) was deemed as imbalanced. Dawn showed concern that Ferd may be taking advantage of the TCP member, due to the age gap and real-life information Ferd may have about the individual. It is important to know that we were later sent screenshots confirming Ferd had been given consent, along with the staff member acknowledging that they gave him consent.

Please note that considering Ferd is a minor, we will not be releasing any screenshots of any mature issues mentioned in this post.

With many of us being adults responsible for the PIC server and army, we truly feel we did our best at that point to address the situation. Ferd was spoken to and told to block the individual and cease all communication, which he immediately complied with. In addition to this, the individual was banned from the PIC server, not due to any wrongdoing on their end, but to ensure that we weren’t providing a setting for any further conflict or communication between Ferd and this person. At that point, the situation could only be described as weird and uncomfortable at best. Although we felt the content of the screenshots was inappropriate, the full dynamic of their year-long relationship could not be determined by a few screenshots. Additionally, at that point, there wasn’t enough incriminating evidence of misconduct to remove Ferd. We also took into consideration the fact he was a minor and did our best to act with sympathy and understanding. We concluded feeling uncomfortable and unsure about the situation, but we felt we did enough to address it and move forward.

However, we were still met with pressure from Templars leadership, who in simple terms didn’t agree with our perspective. Despite back-and-forth conversations between our leadership and theirs, they were still upset and let us know that they would write a post if this continued.

Shortly after this, Ferd began banning Templars leadership from the PIC server without consulting the rest of our leaders. As we’re writing this, he has continued to ban multiple individuals despite being told to stop. Combined with everything that had been going on the past few days we were worried this could cause more issues. The anti-TCP talk began to increase on his end in our main chat which could result in increased tensions between our armies. Considering Templars had threatened to write a post, we were worried this could set them off. We spoke to him immediately, however, this was not viewed lightly by our Congress of Soviets along with many of our staff members.

Multiple high-profile members of PIC proceeded to add Shallissa and Sidie to a group chat. The PIC members explained that they knew what had been going on between Ferd and Templars, and they wanted him removed. They provided a detailed list of reasons why they wanted him removed, also providing new details on the situation between Ferd and the individual from Templars. While we felt that many of the reasons were things that could be worked through, unfortunately, there was something big we could not ignore. New allegations surfaced revealing that Ferd had begun a relationship with individual #1’s in-real-life best friend. While this alone was concerning, it was disclosed to PIC leadership that this person was even younger than the original person (14 years old, 3.5 years younger). The screenshots we received contained a conversation we deemed to be flirtatious in nature. Moreso, we were sent a screenshot of Ferd admitting he would date individual #2 if it meant no one would find out. Although Ferd is a minor this was something many of us couldn’t overlook.

With a large majority of our staff wanting him removed, PIC leadership had to comply. PIC Leadership proceeded to begin the removal process.

Shallissa still wanted to talk to Ferd to discuss the new allegations. It should be noted and considered that Ferd denied having a relationship (or intentions to start one) with individual #2. He also stated the disclosed age was incorrect and that he believed the individual to be a year younger than him. In addition, Ferd explained that he didn’t know they were in-real-life friends with individual #1. We truly did listen to his defense and shared it with our staff who proposed his removal, however, the consensus was still to remove him.

We want to state for the record that PIC has never before gone through a formal coup. While our leadership and a large portion of our staff were in agreement, we wanted to ensure this was done by the book with no room for error. As per our Constitution, we presented the case and Ferd’s defense to our Congress of Soviets who individually voted on whether or not to remove Ferd. Needing a 2/3 majority to proceed with the coup, we contacted all 8 active members of our Congress. 7 out of 8 voted to remove Ferd, with one individual deciding to abstain from their vote.

This coup is not a decision we took lightly, as we prefer to give leaders an opportunity to step down when met with scandal. However, we know that the contents of this post have started to spread. We believed a post written by a leadership that cares about Ferd was much kinder than waiting for another army to attach him to scandal through a cancellation post. The last thing we wanted was for anyone to have an opportunity to use this situation or any screenshots as a means to cancel a minor. While this post contains questionable themes, and he definitely made mistakes, please remember that Ferd is an underage teenager and should be treated with the sympathy many adults seem to lack in sensitive situations such as these.

While this incident will be forever attached to our history, showing our staff members that we will always prioritize their input and concerns is absolutely essential to our values. Additionally, we wanted to ensure that this was handled as gently and fairly as possible. After all, we are a community For The People, and remain loyal to our community.

This is a first for our army and will definitely be seen with a fair amount of scrutiny from members of the community. I hope our care in protecting the involved minors’ privacy can be respected. More than anything I hope this shows PIC staff and high-command members how much we adore and value them as members of the Confederation. Without our staff, we would have no army, and we respect their views and input an immense amount. While this will be a hard time for PIC, we stand together as a united front and will emerge from this with strength and collaboration

Ave Cabinus

The summer season of 2023 is almost at an end. Though the People’s Imperial Confederation has exhibited significant stability and prowess through the first half of the year, July and August have been relatively slow. This is about to change.

Club Penguin Armies is in the midst of organising a small/medium army tournament. Although it is not Challengers Cup, the Beach Brawl 3 tournament will be one of the best opportunities to display our strength. Despite our dip in activity, PIC remains one of the frontrunners. We’ve reached the grand finals of two tournaments thus far, barely missing the chance to take home our first trophy. There is no doubt that we’ll be putting our absolute dedication into making this victory a reality. An old friend is returning to assist us in these efforts.

Many of you already know Cabin0416. As a Commander-in-Chief of the Confederation, Cabin contributed immensely to the success of the army throughout the latter half of 2021. For his efforts he was named Paragon on our Hall of Fame, and retains the position of President of Congress. Cabin recently made his mark on the community by establishing the Napalm Corps, a successful small/medium army and a close ally to PIC.

Though Cabin has resigned himself from a majority of army business, we were ecstatic to hear him accept a call to arms. Whether he stays following the small/medium tournament or resigns again is his prerogative. However, we are beyond happy to have him back.

Be sure to welcome Cabin back! I’ll see you all in the increased activity of the coming weeks.

Try to Not Get Cancelled in Summer Challenge (IMPOSSIBLE)

Greetings PIC members and the army community,

Though Generation 3 of the People’s Imperial Confederation was historic and full of many triumphs, many mistakes were made and not properly addressed. While each army has its fair share of faults and offenses, accountability is necessary for the best outcome. At the dawn of Generation 4, Sidie and I promised our Confederation and the Club Penguin Army community full transparency for our wrongdoings. We vowed to not make the same mistakes as before and to be open and honest regarding any misconduct that may take place within our army. Today we are here to uphold that promise.

Earlier today, an allied leader reached out to our commanders with incriminating screenshots involving prominent members of PIC. These damning screenshots were sent by a member of Dark Vikings. Initially believing these screenshots were faked, we reached out to several of the members involved looking for some context. The screenshots were from a newly formed group chat featuring Langly, Tide, Hitthere, and Hrijo along with a few members from DV. After a conversation with Langly, we learned that the worst of the screenshots were indeed real.

The following screenshots contain very mature themes:

Names of victims are covered in white. Slurs and swearing are covered in red. These screenshots are not the extent of the harassment, as confirmed from further images sent to the PIC leadership.

What’s Next?

Langly, Tide, Hitthere, and Hrijo will face consequences for their actions. PIC has never and will never condone any type of bullying, hate speech, threats of violence, etc. A high rank doesn’t provide protection from wrongdoings; both Langly (1ic) and Tide (2ic) are adults and hold positions of power within our army.

  • Langly will be stepping down as leader and retiring from PIC effective immediately, due to her participation and enabling in the group chat.
  • Tide will be removed from his rank of 2ic effective immediately and has been un-enlisted from PIC due to his participation and enabling in the group chat.
  • Hitthere has been stripped of their rank and banned from PIC effective immediately.
  • Due to their honesty and full transparency, along with minimal participation in the group chat, Hrijo will face a demotion effective immediately.

By The Way:

I would like to make it clear that neither myself, Sidie, Ferd, Alu, nor Hidcre knew about any of this until a few hours ago. There is a lot I can say but more than anything, I hope this serves as a reminder to PIC members that this behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. The PIC leadership as a whole would like to formally apologize to each DV troop who was targeted and harassed. PIC is not the type of army to treat others this way, regardless of our history with Dark Vikings. You have our sincerest apologies.

To Dark Vikings:

Our actions do not excuse yours, and vice versa. For months you have been spewing hate speech toward us, harassing Sidie for being transgender, bullying us, and calling us names. This in no way justifies the recent harassment towards you. However, demanding accountability from us while your army has behaved beyond despicably is hypocritical and unacceptable. PIC will always take the high road and do what’s right, but pointing fingers at us and demanding we take action is not your place.

While we are thankful this was brought to our attention sooner rather than later, the fact this wasn’t sent to us directly leads us to believe you wanted to weaponize these wrongdoings rather than truly seek justice. Instead of informing us, you went to an allied leader in an attempt to damage our relations. We find this just as deplorable as what was seen in the screenshots. We will always encourage open dialogue between PIC and DV leadership concerning bullying. With that said, it’s a two-way street. Maybe it is time to take a good long look at yourselves and the mistakes you’ve made before denouncing other armies. While many things were revealed regarding the actions of PIC members today, worse can also be said about DV.

PIC still plans to attend our Legends Cup battle against the Elite Guardians and give it our all. Today is a small speed bump on our road to greatness and we are thankful to each and every member of PIC who works with leadership to uphold our core values of friendship and solidarity. Though we can’t change the past, we strive to maintain accountability.

Until next time,
